Facilities & Amenities

Del Rey Yacht Club was founded in 1952 and has been at its present location since 1965. DRYC's Clubhouse and facilities create an ideal atmosphere for the promotion of sailing, cruising and a variety of social and educational activities.

THE DRYC CLUBHOUSE

Our magnificent Clubhouse, enlarged and refurbished in 1994 and again in 2010, serves as the proud center for many of DRYC's activities. Luxuriously furnished, it provides a beautiful site for private and general entertainment. Exquisite woodwork abounds throughout the interior. The comfortable surroundings of the Clubhouse allow members to relax and unwind at ease.

A spacious facility, the Clubhouse features a full-service kitchen with an experienced Executive Chef and staff. Our lovely upstairs dining room, with an exquisite 180° view of the Marina, has the capacity of serving gourmet cuisine up to 300 people.  The banquet rooms, with a capacity of 30-120 guests, are the perfect setting for meetings, seminars and private parties. Our bar and lounge area is perfect for socializing before a meeting or meal, or just sitting and resting in a gracious, peaceful environment. For your convenience, we also have a computer room where members can check email or browse the net. The Club also provides free Wi-Fi access throughout the Clubhouse as well as offering wired connections to our members slips.

FUN IN THE SUN

Our extra-large, heated outdoor swimming pool is available for family enjoyment year-round and is a welcoming oasis during the summer months. The pool is open during Club hours and lifeguards are on duty during the summer months. An adjacent patio and snack bar features a large variety of fresh lunch fare that can be enjoyed under the sun or under the shade of the umbrella tables that are set throughout the patio.

Recently, we christened our north patio as the “Wreck Deck” which features recreational facilities for kids of all ages including a basketball court, table tennis, bad mitten/volleyball court, tetherball and a miniature indoor pocket pool table.  The Wreck Deck is also the site for many summer movie nights for our Junior Club members.

SLIPS and DRY STORAGE

Our slips and docks are designed for ease of storage and maintenance of all yacht sizes, whether a small boat or a 100+ foot yacht.

• There are over 319 slips ranging in size from 25 to 78 feet, plus several 120 feet end ties, with easy access to the main channel.

• All slips feature 30 amp electrical service; up to several hundred amps for larger yachts and at least one lockable fiberglass dockbox for handy storage.  We also offer slip internet services.

• For additional storage, 234 dry storage lockers are located around the Club.

• 150 dinghy racks are provided in various locations around the Club for out-of-water storage.

• A 1-1/4 ton capacity small-boat electric hoist is adjacent to 53 trailer spaces. A "do-it-yourself" work area equipped with a bench, vise and electrical outlets is nearby.

• All docks, fingers and gangways are well lit and private.

• On-shore heads, showers and ice machines are provided along the north and south edges of the dock-side pedestrian way.  A washing machine and dryer area is also conveniently located on the grounds.

• A guest dock is located in front of the Clubhouse. (Visiting Yachtsmen: Please phone the DRYC Front Office for guest space assignment.)

• The private, main parking lot accommodates 333 cars, with an auxiliary lot available for an additional 34 cars. Both lots have controlled access, with entrance available only through use of a gate device, or voice access when the Clubhouse is open.

OUR CATALINA ISLAND FACILITY

The Club-owned and operated "Cat Harbor" facility is located on the Southwestern side of Catalina Island. DRYC's beautiful overseas spot is situated between rising mountains on either side, surrounded by an expansive stretch of water, protected by a narrow opening to the inlet.  This great getaway location is available year-round and free of charge to all DRYC members. Weekend cruises make good use of the many available moorings near the dingy dock and the private beachfront compound where there are outdoor gas barbecues, a full service kitchen, picnic table seating for over 250, heads and fresh, hot water showers.  The Club runs at least 3-4 cruises to Cat Harbor every summer.
